Dennis-Michael Broussard
Interim San Diego Chapter President
Event Producer, Consultant, Professional Emcee, Adventurer, and Humanitarian, Dennis-Michael Broussard is currently serving as the interim President for the San Diego Chapter of the National Association of Asian American Professionals. He is the founder and owner of Silk Road Productions, an event management and production firm, through which he has created a multitude of acclaimed special events and has produced successful fund raisers for numerous nonprofit organizations. Dennis-Michael volunteers tirelessly and serves on many nonprofit boards, including as former co-chair of the NAAAP SoCal Chapter. He has an MBA from the University of San Diego and a Master of International Affairs from UCSD.

Gigi Vo
Director of Marketing 

Gigi is San Diego native who enjoys dining out at hidden gems across the county, shopping at local hot spots and amateur photography. She holds a Bachelor’s of the Arts degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Public Health from San Diego State University (SDSU). She currently works for San Diego’s Best Korean Restaurant; Manna Heaven BBQ. She is passionate about helping others which includes volunteering at other non-profit organizations such as Palomar Health, Pacific-Arts and local community events. She hopes during her two year term to be an active advocate to spread diversity and empower others to innovate themselves to be more successful the workplace through all the channels of Social Media.

Jessica Liu
Director of Women in NAAAP
Jessica is the Director of Women in NAAAP (WIN!) for the San Diego Chapter of the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP). Jessica is a graduate of UC San Diego and she currently works in the biotechnology field. Her interests include travelling around the world, reading books, and practicing yoga.

Lauren Garces
Programming Director
Hailing from the island of Oahu, Lauren Garces has had humble beginnings and tremendous growth in San Diego through event production and community empowerment. She is currently the Vice President of Silk Road Productions, one of the leading event production companies in Southern California, and she holds various Director positions on Silk Road’s Signature Events. With a B.S. degree in Business Administration Marketing from San Diego State University, she actively engages communities to develop and exhibit underrepresented groups. When she’s not collaborating to plan the next big event, you can find her adventuring to new places to absorb the cultures and devour lots of food!

Melanie Viloria
Social Media Coordinator

Melanie graduated UC San Diego in 2016 with a degree in History and Ethnic Studies. She is currently a Marketing Host for TK Productions within Five Group, a company that caters to nightlife and festival events. She is also a Promotions Assistant for iHeartMedia, San Diego. She is an advocate for social justice issues, a devout craft beer (and corgi) enthusiast and wants to spend her life cultivating experiences. Through NAAAP, she hopes to broaden the network of the Asian American community within San Diego.

Kathleen Shiu-Yee Dang
Executive Team Member
Kathleen is currently a Masters of Education with a Social Studies Teaching Credential candidate at National University. Her career is focused on providing culture, history, and arts education based on the Asian and Asian American experience. Her background is in Archaeology, Art History, and Museum Education. In addition, she is the 2018 Secretary of the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association of San Diego, a historical Chinese immigrant service organization with roots from the late 1800s.
