Lulu Hsu is currently a community volunteer and leader, after her retiring from Solar Turbines in mid-2012 after 35 years with the company. Solar Turbines Inc., a subsidiary of Caterpillar, is in the energy business providing gas turbine packages up to 22 megawatts for the oil and gas industry as well as for independent power generation for large facilities. Lulu started in Materials Engineering and moved on to working directly with customers in the 2nd half of her career. Her last position at Solar was Director, Business Development and Marketing. Today, she is active in her 2 passions: helping women reach their maximum potential in the workplace and being an amateur classical pianist. She is a founding member and Vice-Chair of the Women’s Leadership Council of the United Way of San Diego, and a supporter of Shakti Rising, a non-profit that is focused on empowering women and developing feminine leadership.
